Position Overview:

LOCOMOTIVE is seeking an experienced digital marketing strategist with a proven ability to deliver impactful results for clients, particularly in the B2B space. As part of the role, you will oversee, mentor, quality control, and delegate to a small group of digital marketing executives in your wider, multi-disciplined agile team. As part of our agile agency model, you will lead the digital team members in your pod through focused sprints, working cross-functionally to deliver integrated marketing strategies across primarily SEO, Paid advertising, Social media and content marketing. With the backing of LOCOMOTIVE’s international expertise, you will be responsible for creating international marketing strategies and optimising digital campaigns to deliver high-impact results to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Retention & Value Delivery:
  • Develop and execute integrated digital marketing strategies within an agile sprint framework that directly impact clients’ business objectives, driving results such as brand building, lead generation, sales growth, and improved ROI.
  • Leverage LOCOMOTIVE’s global SEO expertise to optimise strategies and deliver superior value to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, continuously demonstrating the value of marketing efforts through clear, data-driven reporting and regular sprint reviews.
  • Position yourself as a trusted advisor by understanding clients’ business challenges and proactively identifying growth opportunities.

 

2. Team Development & Mentorship:

  • Lead by example, mentoring the digital team members in your pod, providing guidance on strategy, campaign execution, and performance analysis throughout sprint cycles.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and agile work environment, encouraging cross-functional learning within the pod and ensuring alignment with sprint goals and value-based project outcomes.
  • Encourage continuous improvement within the team, utilising sprint retrospectives to refine processes, team collaboration and optimise future performance.

 

3. Strategy Development & Optimisation:

  • Craft agile digital marketing strategies that optimise client budgets across channels like SEO, Google Ads, paid social, and content marketing, ensuring cross-channel cohesion for maximum results.
  • Integrate insights and expertise gained from LOCOMOTIVE’s award-winning SEO strategies & tools to enhance overall campaign performance.
  • Adapt strategies in real-time during sprints, based on performance data, ensuring efficient budget use and delivering enhanced ROI for clients.

 

4. Oversight of Campaign Execution:

  • Oversee the execution of marketing campaigns within your team, ensuring alignment with client objectives and integration across channels.
  • Guide team members in managing daily tasks like keyword research, content creation, and budget allocation, ensuring campaigns scale effectively through each sprint.

 

5. Performance Analysis & Reporting:

  • Use advanced analytics tools (Google Analytics, HubSpot, etc.) to track and measure campaign performance, delivering data-driven insights and reports that clearly communicate outcomes to clients.
  • Collaborate with the analytics team to ensure reporting is focused on actionable insights that drive continuous optimisation and retention.

 

6. Client-Centric Innovation:

  • Stay ahead of digital marketing trends, incorporating innovative tactics into agile strategies to enhance client outcomes and ensurecutting-edge solutions are part of each sprint cycle.
  • Regularly audit campaigns during sprints to identify areas for
    improvement and ensure continuous optimisation of all digital efforts

 

7. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Work closely with other teams and departments to ensure integrated, cohesive strategies across the agency, aligning all efforts towardachieving client business goals.
  • Provide leadership and insight across teams, ensuring digital strategies are aligned with broader marketing initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in digital marketing strategy, particularly within B2B, with a focus on driving business outcomes.
  • Proven track record in client relationship management, with an emphasis on retention through value delivery.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills, ideally with experience managing digital marketers.
  • Expertise across digital marketing channels, including SEO, Paid Advertising, social media, and content marketing, with a focus on cross-channel orchestration.
  • Expert knowledge of LinkedIn, from a company page & personal profile perspective, and ideally campaign manager
  • Familiarity with with website strategy; including the ability to develop website architecture and recommend best practices primarily from an SEO perspective
  • Knowledge of WordPress
  • Proficient in analytics tools such as GA4, HubSpot, and other marketing platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present strategies and performance reports clearly and concisely.
  • Ideally experience working in an agency environment, managing multiple client accounts, and adapting strategies.
  • Full, clean driving license.
