Galway firm, IMS Marketing has beat off stiff competition to win an international tender to deliver strategic marketing consultancy and advice to businesses looking to expand into new European markets over the next four years.
The contract is part of Enterprise Ireland’s executive education programme, ‘Enter the Eurozone’.
The programme aims to accelerate the number of Irish companies entering new markets in the eurozone. With less than ten weeks to go until Brexit, many organisations who currently export into Britain, are now looking for alternative markets within the eurozone.
“We are honoured to have been chosen by Enterprise Ireland as the Business Advisor partner for its new ‘Enter the Eurozone’ programme,” said Kevin Moran, Managing Director of IMS Marketing.
“Over the next four years, this initiative will see our senior consultants work closely with some of Ireland’s most progressive companies to assist them with their international growth goals. In the context of the current Brexit crisis, it will provide many companies with an opportunity to diversify outside of the UK into a mainland European country,” he added.
The ‘Enter the Eurozone’ programme has been designed to provide Irish exporters with the theory and practical skills necessary to develop a market entry plan for a mainland European market. The pilot programme, designed to scale over four years, will initially see up to 20 participant companies receive educational modules with the German business school, ESMT, followed by 1-1 strategic consulting from IMS Marketing.
Managing Director of IMS Marketing also commented: “We currently employ 16 people at our offices in Oranmore, Galway. We’ve grown significantly in recently years. Now thanks to this contract and other opportunities, we envisage growing our team to over 25 people in the next 2 years,” he added.
