A Personalised Service Across all Channels

Baggot Street Wines and Spirits is a family-run, award-winning off licence in Dublin. It is an established company with many loyal customers hidden behind a complex, out-of-date website and a brand that just didn’t show their personality. 

Customer relationships play a pivotal role in the success of their business. Their loyal customers visited the shop and came to expect a warm, friendly welcome and personalised service. As this was their reputation in store; it was quickly apparent that their website was lacking any brand personality and was failing in user experience. 

They turned to IMS Marketing to change all that.

Our goal was to design a brand that distinguishes Baggot Street’s quality, personality, knowledge and product selection. The challenge we faced was to communicate the personalised service and advice of the staff (typically in store) to an ecommerce or online setting while also keeping the website easy to update, user friendly and easy to navigate.

A new look for an established brand

Given the crowded storefront and busyness of Baggot Street, we knew the logo had to be bold, simple and stand out in a cluttered environment. We designed a responsive logo that sits well in all formats: storefront, shopping bags, website navigation and mobile settings. 

  • Inspiration was taken from iconic Dublin landmarks
  • Custom drink illustrations created to help categorise in store and online
  • We conducted a brand photoshoot to showcase staff both in store and online

A User Focused Website Design

Problem of existing site:

  • Website was not mobile friendly 
  • Issues with accessing shopping cart
  • Unorganised products

Goal of new site:

The main goal of the website was to enhance user experience and make it as easy as possible for customers to find the product they were looking for and ultimately purchase it. Personal touches were added to the site to help tie the brand personality and values from instore to an online setting. Staff recommendations and personal comments are added to some of their favourite products.
