The Brief

This start-up company contacted IMS at a product concept stage. The initial requirement was to support this study but our support extended well beyond this.

The Challenge

The founders had no commercial experience on their team so they required a very hands on role from the IMS team

The Idea

We completed the feasibility study within a 4 month period and the opportunity for the new product was validated. We next supported the company in the development of a business plan which set out a 12 month plan to progress the company through an initial pilot market introduction, funding requirements and full market introduction. Again, we managed the pilot introduction with some success, and secured additional funding from the local Enterprise Board towards this.

The next step following the pilot was to apply for funding with Enterprise Ireland through their Competitive Start Fund. Again this was successful and in addition, further 3rd party investors came on board to fund the commercialisation of the business. By this stage, IMS Marketing were providing a full-time outsourced marketing support for the business, managing all aspects of branding and digital marketing promotion. The company and new product was launched approximately 12 months from the start of the feasibility study.

The Results

This client is now selling its software in over 15 countries worldwide. Their technology is a two time Golden Spider and industry technology award winner. IMS are very proud of our hands on support of this company from very early stage to international market success.
